The Pumpkin Bites Back
"THE PUMPKIN BITES BACK!" has been commissioned by and specially written for Virginia Pumpkin Festival.
If not the greatest show on the Earth "THE PUMPKIN BITES BACK!" will certainly be the biggest show in Ireland this year. The town of Virginia will be witness to a first of its kind, jaw dropping experience combining original live music, giant puppets, fiendish scientists and a monstrous laboratory with a cast and crew that makes Lord of the Rings look like a home movie. You've tried 3D now try 4D!!
This show is breathtakingly ambitious in scale and in content and promises to be as pivotal to scientific research as, say, man's first step on the moon.
The only difference is, you can be there!
The Pumpkin Bites Back will be shown on both Friday and Sunday nights , October 22nd and 24th on the town square, animating Virginia with lights, smoke and lots of drama just as the evening twilight is descending on the town. The stage alone will be 40 feet (five storeys) high and the characters will add 100 feet on to that again - you must come and see for yourself - it will be amazing.

Imelda May (23rd October 2010 - 9pm) is this year's main musical act at the Virginia Pumpkin Festival. Imelda won the Best Female award at this year's Meteor awards. She has shared a stage with world stars such as Alison Moyet, Dionne Warwick, Bryan Ferry, Anastasia, The Supremes, Sister Sledge, Scissor Sisters, The Dubliners, Madeleine Peyroux, Matt Bianco, Elvis Costello, Jools Holland, Jeff Beck and Elton John. Her only appearance in Ireland has already sold out so don't think too long whether you should buy ticket as this event will without any doubt sell out in no time. The weekend will include lots more action with the Soap Box Derby, lots of family entertainment, markets and lots more. The Fancy Dress on Sunday night in the marquee boosts of the biggest single fancy dress in the country. Keep viewing, much more exciting acts to be revealed.
