Ramor Utd Club Notes 18-07-2011

Ulster Champions;

Congratulations to the Cavan Minor team and management on their wonderful victory over Armagh in the Ulster final. It was a proud occasion for all involved and the whole county is delighted with the win. Ramor senior goalkeeper Aaron Farelly was the sub goalie for the team .Also on the panel were James Bradley and Kevin Mulvanny.   Wishing the team the best of luck against Galway in the quarter-final, which is in two weeks time.

Senior Team;

Ramor played Mullahoran away on Saturday evening last and lost out on a score-line of 1-08 to 0-14. There was no Junior game.

This Saturday, July 23rd,  the team will play the opening round of the Senior Championship against Ballinagh in Crosskeys at 7.30pm. Good luck to all invlolved.


U-16 Championship;

It was revenge time for the Ramor U-16's as they welcomed Templeport to Virginia on Tuesday evening last to contest the first game of the Championship. As expected, both teams served up a fantastic fare for the large crowd gathered. However, on this occasion, Ramor, with lessons learned, and taking nothing for granted were the hungrier side, and after a very closely fought game, emerged winners on a score-line of 4-12 to 3-13.

This Tuesday evening, (19th), they play Erne Gaels in the semi-final which is in Lavey at 7.30pm. Please support.


U-13 League Div 1;

Ramor have two games this week;

Thursday 21st; V Cavan Gaels in Terry Coyle Park at 7.30pm.

Saturday 23rd; V Kingscourt at home at 12.30pm.


Minor Championship;

Ramor have amalgamated with Killinkere for the Championship, and will be known as Ramor-Killinkere. They will play in Division 1 .  They have been drawn against Eire Og Celtic .(Cootehill/Drumgoon) in the first round of the Championship. Good luck to all involved.


VHI Cul Camps;

The Cul Camp will take place at Ramor Park next week, from 25th to 29th July. Booking forms are available on-line or from Kingspan Breffni Park. Please book early. The Cul camps offer  great value for money, they are keenly priced and all participants receive a full kit at the end of camp.


Saturday Morning Clean up;

The work is continuing on Saturday mornings. The help is great and really appreciated! All welcome to come along and help, 9.30-1pm approx.. Thanks to all who have helped so far.


Family Fun Day;

A family fun day for all our members is being planned for Sunday, August 28th at Ramor Park .

A great day is being planned with lots of fun and activities for all the family, so keep that day free in your diaries!

Virginia Show;

Virginia agricultural Show takes place on Saturday, July 30th. This is a great family day out, so please support.


Hall for Hire;

The Hall at the Ramor Clubrooms is available for hire. It is large, approx. 35ft x 55ft. It would be suitable for a small function, fitness class, meeting room, etc. Call David on 086-8578748.


Running Track;

Members only permitted on the running track. For membership contact club phone 086-1740777.
