Virginia Golf Club Notes - 25th January 2010
Finally the golfing year got into gear, slowly I might add, an 18 hole stableford competition took place on Sunday last, the morning having been frozen and fogged off. A few gents braved the elements and the winner was Finbar O'Reilly with 40 pts, followed by Maurice O'Shaughnessy with 37pts.
Next Sunday Jan 31st, there will be an 18 hole stableford comp, timesheet in operation and on the noticeboard.
The Spring League entry sheet is also up, draw for teams being made next Sunday Jan 31st, so all members wishing to enter need to sign up before then. It is hoped to have the 1st round played on Sunday 7th of Feb.
All members are reminded that all away scores or society scores are required to be brought back to the Club, attention of the Handicap Sec.
