Men's Results

On Sunday morning the 4ball betterball pairings took to the course in gusto. The Autumn leaves on the ground led to scenes similar to a middle aged men's Easter egg hunt as golfers peered in the rough for the elusive white golf ball. Still winners are winners and again form in the Seniors competitions carried through to a Sunday competition with Frank Fahy and Patrick Murphy romping away with a 48 pts. Followed by V Connell and A Rock with 42pts. Congratulations lads.

Special mention to  ex Captain Peadar Gill who carried Tom Kelly for 15 holes on Sunday, hes not right yet.

The Towns Cup draw has been made and timesheet is in the clubhouse. This is always a popular competition so best of luck to all.

Finally many congratulations to ex Captain John Mulvany on becoming a Grandfather last week. John is a popular and very active member of the club and we all wish the latest Mulvany the very best, and a good deal on distance membership.

Seniors Results

1 Mary Whelan, Pat Murphy, H B O'Donoghue, Canice Hogan 58.8. 2 Mary Culliton, Alec Mc Auley, Sean Mc Donnell, Finbarr O'Reilly 61.4.    We have to call out the feats of that former great footballer Hugh Barney who has now turned into a talented golfer, having lost 8 shots so far this year. He is just back from a holiday in the Holy Land so perhaps there has been some Divine intervention as well!
